Sweepstakes HERO

Sweepstakes Hero is a interesting documentary that I did a “mates rates” intro for, for “friends of friends of friends” with a suuuuuper low budget and a hellish schedule. Even though it was a terrible experience and they didn’t even end up using it. I like how some of it turned out, I like the Pseudo Anime style we came up with, and the look of the contrasting drab CG streets we used, which are 3D phone scans from the streets of Japan. For this Intro [like with the ICARUS job] I was interested in the film being built around surreal visual metaphors that relate to his life and the arc of the documentary. I think if you watch the documentary you will understand the intro with greater meaning.
